INSEE GREEN TECHNICAL SUMMIT LIGHTS UP SYLHET

INSEE Green Introduced in Sylhet to Support Stronger and More Sustainable Construction

INSEE Cement has officially launched INSEE Green, a region-specific composite cement, through the technical summit titled "INSEE GREEN: Cementing Legacy of Strength" in Sylhet. The product is specially developed to meet the construction needs of northern and north-eastern Bangladesh, where soil conditions are often acidic, porous, sulphate-prone, and affected by high groundwater levels.

Designed for superior strength, long-term durability, and enhanced resistance to moisture and chemical attack, INSEE Green helps create denser concrete with lower permeability. This improves structural performance against floods, heavy rainfall, and seismic activity, ensuring a longer service life for buildings and infrastructure.

The summit brought together professors, engineers, educators, and industry experts to discuss regional construction challenges and sustainable engineering solutions. Technical sessions were conducted by specialists from Siam City Cement, while professors from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) shared insights into local soil conditions and durability requirements.

The event featured keynote speeches from INSEE Cement CEO and Managing Director Dr. Kanthasat Boontem, Commercial Director Mohammad Abu Sayeed, and VP Operations GMG Mostafa, along with other engineering and business leaders.

INSEE Green is also the first cement in Bangladesh to receive an internationally recognized Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification, highlighting the company's commitment to environmentally responsible and sustainable construction. The product is manufactured by Siam City Cement (Bangladesh) Ltd., a subsidiary of Thailand's leading cement manufacturer, Siam City Cement.
